The Salvaged Sawhorse

Reishi Workshop in the Catskills: Saturday, July 16th 1-6PM

Reishi is a powerful medicinal mushroom with the longest history of use. It boosts our immune system, reduces inflammation, improves sleep quality, is used in the treatment of cancer AND is currently growing all over the Northeast! With so many current stressors to our mental and physical health there is no better time to dive into the world of Hemlock Reishi and learn how to work with this plant ally.

By the end of this 5 hour workshop + gathering you will have:

  • Discussed the medicinal uses of Reishi mushrooms and other plants encountered on a 1.5 hour plant hike
  • Identified and foraged Hemlock Reishi growing in the wild
  • Prepared the first part of your double extracted mushroom tincture
  • Prepared a medicinal Reishi- Cacao mix
  • Enjoyed a vegan meal outdoors
  • Disconnected from city life and its distractions
  • Connected with other plant and herbalism enthusiasts

We will enjoy all of the above in the Catskill Mountains of NY surrounded by streams, waterfalls and Hemlock forests!

When: Saturday, Jul 16, 2022 from 1-6PM

Location Details: Near Margaretville, NY. 2.5 hr from NYC. Exact address will be provided after registration. If transportation is a challenge, we can explore carpool options or public transportation pickup!
